Damaris is a Speech-Language Pathologist by profession, although she has nowadays moved on to the medical device business. Her first encounter with Sign Language was in 1999, when she was amongst the first Sign Language interpreters locally. She was also one of the first Sign Language interpreters who kicked off the daily news bulletin on the national television station in 2000.
Since then, Damaris delivered courses to Learning Support Educators on the topic as well as provided Sign Language interpreting services on various occasions.
