John is a seasoned HR and management professional. He held various senior and top management positions in human resource management and development for over thirty years within the public and private sectors including transport, tourism, energy, retail, import and distribution and management and human resources consultancy. He is a graduate in Public Administration from the University of Malta and has attended various specialised courses locally and abroad.
Through his experience, John has assisted various entities in their HR management/development strategy and operations including: organisational design and development; employee resourcing; learning and development; performance management; job evaluation; salary and reward structures besides others. He was also very much involved in the Foundation for Human Resource Development (FHRD) both as a Board Member and President. As a trainer, he has led and facilitated various programmes mainly at management and supervisory level including leadership programmes in Germany, France, Turkey, Dubai, and Saudi Arabia.
John’s main HR skills entail consulting, HR strategy, recruitment, training and development, coaching, mentoring, employee relations, change management, and negotiation.
Given his background and experience at senior and top management level, John lends his expertise and knowledge in HR operational, strategic management and development and assists people to maximise their potential thus adding value to the company they work for while contributing to their own career development.
